Overview
The application acts as an ‘online helpdesk’ which would allow an organization to track the work related issues faced by its employees so that they could be attended to at the earliest.
This tool allows users (employees of an organization) to log complaints related to IT Services, HR services, Administrative Services and Technical Support. When a complaint is logged, the tool generates a ticket and sends the details of the same to user’s email, which would help the user to track the status of his complaint.
- New Users need to register themselves before using the application. Only users with registered login can get into the system. Registration can be done through the Register form.
After registration, users are forwarded to the Login page. Already registered users can directly go to the Login page. Users can than login into the application using their email ID and password.
Once a user is logged into the system, he/she is taken to the Helpdesk window where user can register a ticket pertaining to their problems. All problems have been categorized under IT Services, HR Services, Administrative Services and Technical Support. There is sub-categorization for each problem category. Also the user needs to put in his/her IP address and the problem description for faster resolution of the problem.
While registering for a ticket, the email ID of the logged-in user is auto-populated. The status of the ticket is kept default "Open" and cannot be changed by the user. Also the logged-in user can go to the tracking window and track the tickets registered by him/her.- Once the user registers a ticket, a ticket ID is generated and a email is sent to the user by the administrator. The user is then routed to the tracking tickets page. The user can directly go to the tracking page also.
- The tracking page provides the user with a list of ticket nos. raised by him/her. User can accordingly track the progress of each ticket raised by him/her without making any changes to the same.
The page also contains the provision of reports through which the user can track the functionalities of the application. Also there is the Logout option, the user can logout from the system. The user will be redirected to the Login page.- The reporting enables the Admin user to track the progress of the application and accordingly the processes can be tracked.
Admin Users on logging in (Username: admin@admin.com; Password: admin_123) are directly routed to the tracking page where it can make changes to a particular ticket and provide solution to the problems; and close the ticket on resolution.
